Hasta y Hasta que

Hasta que

Pueden estar en Indicativo, Subjuntivo o Infinitivo.

Indicativo

Se usa cuando hablamos del presente o del pasado

1. Mis hijos no duermen hasta que yo no apague la luz. / My kids didn't sleep until I turned off the light.
2. Ellos bebieron hasta que terminó la fiesta. / They drank until the party ended.

Subjuntivo

Se usa cuando hablamos el futuro

1. No desayunamos hasta que venga mi madre. / We won't eat breakfast until my mother comes.
2. Caminaremos hasta que venga el bus. / We will walk until the bus comes.
3. Escribiré hasta que me respondas. / I will write until you answer me.

Cuando el sujeto del verbo es el mismo, podemos encontrar el verbo en infinitivo.

1. Bebió hasta saciarse. / He drank until he was satiated. ???
2. Corrió hasta cansarse. / She ran until she became tired.
3. Pensó hasta tener una buena idea. / He thought until he had a good idea.
